Young people from Tower Hamlets and across East London attend our Youth Theatres. All of our Youth Theatre groups are open to young disabled people and our venue is fully accessible. We also run Solar – a specialist drama group for disabled teenagers in East London on . Theatre for young people by young people YPT is the premier theatrical training institution for youth in the Hunter. With a 70 year tradition as a community run, not-for-profit organisation, YPT has nurtured the careers of many young people, providing a space to experience the Arts, make lifelong friendships and have fun!

Young CompanyA dynamic theatre company for year olds. Each term the Young Company develop performance skills through free weekly workshops, before putting them into practice in professionally supported performances here at Southwark Playhouse and other venues across the borough. “YoCo offers people of different ages and backgrounds more than just a safe haven. This book looks at the range of stage plays for young people written and produced in Great Britain by adult professionals. Believing that a play should be judged in the context of a performance, the author has devoted a large part of the book to an account of particular events and attempted to identify those factors which affect the nature and quality of the artefact.

The NT's Young Patrons group is a social network for young people, aged between 21 who love and support the National Theatre. You can also join discussions and keep updated with events on our Young Patron Facebook page. For over 50 years The Young Theatre has striven to provide young people with opportunities rarely found in other youth theatre groups.
